In addition to providing individual and group grief counseling through my practice, I am available to small and medium sized businesses for grief support in the event of the death of a colleague or a close associate.
I work with companies in the wake of an employee's death, when staff members are stunned, saddened, and unable to focus. I help the company's leadership to guide and support the organization, so they can understand and support every employee's needs. Initially that may involve on-site individual and group counseling. In time, I can refer employees to outside support services and networks.
In addition to working with employees who are experiencing grief and loss, I provide guidance to the company's leadership on public messaging regarding sudden and traumatic loss. I also provide insight into how best to lead the company during this traumatic period, give guidance around ways to publicly honor and acknowledge the employee's death, and help leadership develop strategies to support the employee's family.
Recently, I worked with a small Boston-area company after the sudden death of a valued staff member. The CEO expressed his appreciation to me with these words:
"Sairey's guidance was invaluable in supporting this company through the sudden loss of a young, beloved, and star employee. This experience would have been unmanageable without her calm leadership and insight into what our employees needed during this difficult time. Sairey also provided mentoring and guidance to company leaders that provided reassuring structure for an otherwise chaotic event." ~Doug, CEO of a Metro West Company
If your company experiences a sudden or painful loss, I would be happy to work with you and support your leadership and staff as you navigate the period immediately after your employees' death as well as offering a comprehensive check in after the initial crisis.
